- First of all, immediately unbox your Marimo once you received your shipment, check and see if there are any damage on the Marimo and take pictures if the damage is severe. Marimo Malaysia and Okeanos E-aquarium provides full refund or replacement shipment for severely damaged Marimo if pictures is taken and send to us within 2 hours of receiving the shipment (details on Shipping Policy). Different company/sellers will have different policies on damaged shipment, do make sure to check on it before purchasing.
- After removing the Marimo from the package, squeeze the Marimo gently, a healthy Marimo will have a slightly spongy feel and not yucky or mushy.
- Before placing your Marimo into the aquarium or decoration jar/container, wash them thoroughly and place them in a bowl of water for a few hours. Adding small amount of salt into the bowl of water will help remove unwanted hitchhikers, but it is optional.
